Clive Jenkins Music

Clive Jenkins is mainly an orchestral composer, though he has also composed chamber and choral music.

Born in Plymouth, Clive displays his West Country roots in many of his compositions.

The concert overture Heart of Dartmoor, the recently premièred orchestral suite Moorland Music, the narrative work White Bird based on a Dartmoor ghost story and the widely-performed cantata The Mayflower Pilgrims are just four examples.

Other choral compositions include Psalm settings and Christmas music which have featured on independent television.

Locally he has worked with Plymouth Symphony Orchestra, the Ten Tors Orchestra, the City of Plymouth Light Orchestra, the Radio Light Orchestra, the Pressenda Ensemble and the Taunton Sinfonietta. Goodmusic has published many works composed for these as well as pieces commissioned by Plymouth Museum & Art Gallery.

Since 2005 he has been composer-arranger for the Chamber Ensemble of London which has recorded many of his compositions.
